This maple Dijon dressing is creamy, sweet, and tangy. Dijon mustard and balsamic vinegar balance the maple syrup for an easy dressing that works on salads, bowls, and roasted vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp smooth Dijon mustard
  • 4 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1½ tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Optional Add-Ins

  • 1 garlic clove, finely grated
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp water, to thin if desired

Step 1


Add the Dijon mustard, maple syrup, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper to a mason jar.



Step 2


Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 30 seconds, or until smooth and fully emulsified.

Alternatively, whisk the Dijon and maple syrup together, add the balsamic vinegar, then slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking.

Taste and adjust the seasoning with more maple syrup, Dijon, balsamic vinegar, salt, or pepper.
